Our latest bit of work for haberdashery and creative studio Guthrie & Ghani is an 'anatomical' illustration … of a sewing machine.

With a number of sewing newbies attending workshops, Lauren thought it'd be a nice idea to give people hand-out sheets which explain what's what on a sewing machine. The Anatomy of a Sewing Machine illustration was first drawn the old fashioned way with pencil on paper, then scanned and digitally manipulated to add refinement and detail – but without losing its soft, hand-drawn look.
