I've always enjoyed problem solving: whether it's a maths question, a puzzle game, a riddle, or a technical issue. I'm never more in my element than when I'm trying to piece together a solution to a problem in front of me. It's not much of a surprise then that I ended up with a career that heavily emphasises solving problems.
I didn't find my passion for programming until the final year of my Chemistry degree, when I took a computational chemistry course that used Fortran. I found the experience far more engaging and enjoyable than all of the rest of my courses combined. Several years and a huge amount of learning later, I'm a backend developer at Supercool.
I handle aspects of websites that go on in the background, and ensure things work the way they're supposed to: quickly and efficiently.
