One of the oldest theatres in the UK, we started work on Bristol Old Vic's website at a milestone point in the organisation's history. They were part-way through both a major Heritage Lottery Fund-supported front of house redevelopment, and a rebrand.

Busy times for the in-house team – but the project ran like clockwork and launched bang-on schedule. Clear, intuitive navigation, bold typographic hierarchy, and 'layering' effects combine to create distinction and personality across the site.

“The What's On calendar search is amazing. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

“LOVE the assisted performance listings page – this should be on every booking site ever!”

Revealing elements of the theatre and its work that were previously hidden, the website's structure also enables Bristol Old Vic to promote themselves as an event space and heritage destination – as well as a working theatre.

Other features of this Spektrix-integrated beauty include: clever ‘sticky’ calendar navigation – perfect for productions with long runs; and a super-helpful Access section, complete with filterable assisted performance listings.
