Scottish Ballet's flexible yet easy-to-maintain and manage website helps to showcase the company's world-class productions, dancers, and wider work.

As a highly visual artform, the website is decidedly video-focused. As well as being used to great effect throughout the site, video content is housed in a dedicated SBTV section.

A core goal of the website is to present Scottish Ballet’s dancers as the true superstars of the company.

This is achieved by each dancer's profile acting almost like a microsite – featuring a biography, image and video gallery, repertoire, and social media feeds. This not only raises the profile of each individual artist but highlights the breadth of talent within the organisation.

Although production tickets are sold by individual venues, Scottish Ballet's website integrates with Tessitura's TNEW technology to sell merchandise, as well as classes and events at the company’s home venue, Tramway in Glasgow.

The website won bronze in the 2016 pan-European Lovie Awards for Best Website: Art.

Alongside ongoing, iterative website development, we've worked with Scottish Ballet on other digital projects – including fundraising microsites for the 2017 revival of The Nutcracker, and 2018's Make A Wish campaign.

It has been a real pleasure to work with Supercool. We are delighted with the result: an easy to manage and striking website that delivers higher engagement, lower bounce rates, and higher conversions.
