Make, do and Vend

This is an old post, so may include broken links and/or out-of-date information

We've just launched an all-new – and rather fetching – e-commerce website for our haberdashery friends, Guthrie & Ghani.

Since we created their first online shop back in 2012, G&G has grown hugely; not only in popularity but also in terms of the sheer number of products they offer both in-store and online.

So, we’ve designed and built a whole new website which better accommodates their ever-increasing range of notions, fabrics, yarns and workshops.

The online shop integrates seamlessly* with G&G's new inventory management software – Vend – which means stock levels are always up-to-date, whether purchases are made in-store or online. Pretty essential for a growing retailer.

Also under-the-hood, it's now even easier for the folks at G&G to manage content. They have the ability to easily flag 'new' and 'recommended' products, and can neatly signpost towards related items on product pages – as well as within their ever-popular blog posts.

Design-wise, we’ve not only given the site a cosmetic makeover (regular visitors will notice it's much more visual than the previous incarnation) – it works better too. Navigation has been restructured so it’s much quicker to browse through products and workshops, with further design improvements, tweaks and detailing making for a smooth and simple user journey – no matter the device being used.

Have a browse of the new Guthrie & Ghani website, and find something new to make or do.
