Scottish Ballet – best art website finalist

From a strong shortlist, the website we created with Scottish Ballet has been named a 'Best Website: Art' finalist in the 2016 Lovie Awards; a pan-European contest which 'honours online excellence’. Safe to say that we’re pretty chuffed.

“Scottish Ballet has excelled in its category, showing fantastic prowess in digital innovation and creativity,” said Nicolas Roope, Executive Chair of Lovie Awards organisers, IADAS (International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences). “This award is a testament to the skill, ingenuity, and vision of its creators.”

It was a great project to work on, not least as it was a true collaboration with the ace team at Scottish Ballet – no mean feat considering we were working almost 300 miles apart. Online project management, video chat and screen-sharing for the win!

Charlotte Gross, Head of Sales & Marketing at Scottish Ballet had this to say about the website, and working with us:

“It has been a real pleasure to work with Supercool on Scottish Ballet’s new website. The process felt like a partnership with enthusiastic people that have flair, technical solutions and cared as much as we did about the final product. Most importantly, we are delighted with the result: an easy to manage and striking website that delivers results (higher engagement, lower bounce rates, and higher conversions).”

Job’s a good ‘un; let’s hope the Lovie judges agree! You can read more about our work in the Scottish Ballet case study.

And if you like/admire the site – or just like voting for stuff online – please head over to the People’s Lovie Awards website and give Scottish Ballet some love. (Public voting is open until 22 September.)
