AMA Conference, Birmingham, 14-15 July
Hi, we're Supercool – a friendly, smart, straight-talking team of problem-solvers. We combine design, tech and data to make life easier for arts and cultural organisations – and your audiences.
We're lucky enough to work with brilliant teams at places like Birmingham Museums Trust, Bristol Old Vic, Chichester Festival Theatre, CBSO, Edinburgh International Festival, MAC Birmingham, New Adventures, Sheffield Theatres, The Place, Yorkshire Sculpture Park – and loads more.
Ceri, Hayley, James and Kate had a great time at the conference – meeting new folks, chatting with old friends, learning loads, and sharing useful tips about how we can all be more digitally sustainable.
Your Website vs. The Planet
Thu 14 July, 1:30pm
Hope you enjoyed our session – if you missed it, Kate and James shared benchmark data from your fellow arts, cultural and heritage organisations, and practical tips on how you can make your website kinder to the planet.
Over the past month or so we analysed more than 30 cultural organisations’ websites — assessing their environmental impact through a series of 1-to-1 consultancy meetings. And in this session we shared our key learnings, shining examples, and practical ideas to help you reduce the negative impact your website has on the planet.
And we offset 10 tonnes of carbon through renewable energy projects on behalf of #AMAConf delegates. (That's the equivalent of driving from London to Edinburgh. 100 times!)
Trees for chats!
We planted a tree – Rhizophora mucronata to be precise – for everyone we talked to throughout the conference. So, folks got to talk all things digital and grow Supercool's AMA Conference Grove at the same time!
500 trees planted on behalf of delegates, in our #AMAConf Grove
10 tonnes of carbon offset via renewable energy + preservation projects
11 plants kept alive – nay, thriving – on our lush, green exhibition stand
