Supercool Session #18 – How are people really using your event pages?

This Supercool Session was recorded live on 5 November 2026

Supercool Session 18 – How are people really using your event pages?

Supercool’s Head of Client Innovation Andrew Ladd discusses his recent research into user behaviour on arts and cultural websites' event listings – and some surprising findings that came out of it.

(We also launch our inaugural Cultural Website Event Listings Benchmark Report 2026 🙌)

If you spend a lot of time looking at cultural organisation’s websites (which we do), you’re bound to notice some patterns that come up again and again. We took two of these common patterns – event filters on What’s On pages, and in-page menus on event pages – and looked at how actual people are actually using them.

In this session, we cover what we found about these particular features. We also reveal what that tells us about how people are using your event listings more broadly – even if you don’t have filters or in-page menus on your website.

Plus, you'll get key takeaways and questions you can ask about your own event listings to make sure they’re working hard for you.

Great for:

  • Marketing / Audience Development Officers and Managers
  • Digital Marketing teams
  • Anyone who manages event listings on your organisation’s website

You'll get:

  • Common patterns in how users browse event listings
  • How event pages fit in with wider user behaviour around buying tickets and planning visits
  • How to optimise your own website to sell more tickets to happier customers!
